Elephants on Parade

I made this for a realative who doesn't know I have a DA for christmas. HA! I'm so sneaky. Aunt Sandra to be presice. I'm working to sew at least one thing a day. So since john had his wisdom teath drilled/broken/pulled I had a LOT of time to sew in peace. I tell you it's nice to sew when it's quiet and rainy. Anyways I made the little elepahnt first. He didn't take very long. And then I realized I had enough fabric to make a mommy for him. And beleave it or not I still have fabric left! Not enough to make anything huge but something! lol.
I used left over polar fleace from the smokey stuffie and chapo walmart stuffing. The tusks on the mommy are felt. And the eyes are embroidered by hand using embroidery floss. (the mommy's eyes are crooked but I havent the time to fix that at the moment)

Khindi thought these were hers. She stole the baby twice while I was sewing the mommy and she tried to take the mommy while I was stuffing her. So she's been promised a toy of some sort eventually. (khindi is our dog btw)
