Reconed Oriental Red Top

Second of the shirts I worked on from my massive thrift store shopping spree. Best part about this shirt was it was 50 cents! It was on the dollar rack and it was 1/2 off everything in the store day.
I was attracted to the print and the cute little button placket it had that gave it the "oriental" look.
The problems where this top was way too tight, and it was to short. So I added the glittery black panel in the middle, and opened up the bottom hem to make it have more room over the hips. I also added black bias tape to this opening to make it more finished.
After this I tried it on and it was still too tight for me. My sister though is a few inches smaller than me in the hips and has been working out so her belly is flatter. So Rather than take the shirt all apart I gave it to her! My sister really loved it.

I wasn't sure about that glittery fabric on the hanger but it looks really slimming on a person doesn't it?
